A dark and grim tale of two brothers who own a "cattle" ranch but who may have too much conscience for the job.

- Men rule the world; or do they? In a quaint little pub in St. John's Newfoundland there hangs a picture of some lobsters sitting at a table playing cards. Which isn't too odd, until the lobsters start coming out to have a beer and reveal that they are the masters of the universe.

- A scientific team is exploring a new world when some of its members meet up with a very aggressive plant. They are rescued by an obviously sentient species. The purpose of their survey immediately switches to making first contact. But are they the researchers or the research subjects?

- Living on the moon in "apartments" barely bigger than an Earth bound living room would be enough to get on anyone's nerves. Throw in a cranky old grandfather and the family robot who is beginning to immediate the old guy, and enough is enough. That's when Jesse decides to have the robot's personality chip replaced and finds out that she can get the grandfather done for just a little bit more.

- A story involving aliens invading the Earth with an eye to taking over. They decide to do it in a unique fashion. They infiltrate our schools at all levels and begin educating people to be dumber and more compliant. Deprive people of their ability to communicate effectively and they become easily controlled.

- A sheriff is investigating a murder. In the one vehicle he finds an unpublished manuscript. He begins to read the novel and realises that it describes the events around the murder. Later in the book, he reads about himself reading the book and about how a shot suddenly breaks his office window, killing him. Just as he hears the crack.
- "The Best Looking Prison On The Block"

- Every universe has an evil dictator trying to rule everything, and ours is no different. Except, our evil dictator was defeated and imprisoned. His prison is in a sphere of a statue sitting in a beautiful little garden in a quiet neighbourhood in a small town in the United States. Fertilizer is provided by the attempts to rescue him.

- Deep in space, a bored communications tech on a space station begins to realise that each time a certain alien ship passes through, he seems to be talking to the same comm tech. He begins to make conversation with the comm tech, each time the ship comes and goes. Eventually, he decides that the comm tech is a she and that he would really like to meet her; so he asks. Then the diplomatic flurry explodes. They do meet and it acts as a small step toward bringing their two species closer together.
- "Cat Shape"

- A fantasy story in which a young, inexperienced (expendable) soldier is picked to infiltrate the enemy city and open the gate from inside. He is given an amulet which changes him into a cat. By the end of his adventure, the shape change becomes a natural ability for him.

- "Memory Bank"

- It is the future and the world has a transportation network of teleportation booths. Mike is one of the operators and he gets dragged out of bed in the middle of the night to deal with a crisis; people have gone missing in transit. Mike stumbles onto being able to duplicate the people by recalling their patterns from the memory bank of the computers which control the system.

- A weird little story about a carnivorous toilet running amok in cottage country and the young boy who has to cope with it.

- Carla is a special young woman with immense psychic powers. Her powers, rampant and uncontrolled, trap her community inside of a bubble of isolated time and space. Anyone who tries to leave can, but they arrive outside totally mad. Doctor Brown decides to try one final, desperate tactic, and dooms his town to an even greater horror.

In a far flung future, an empire needs an emperor. But the heir is too young to assume the throne and a councilor is manoeuvring to seize power in his place. The young heir needs to be four years older in a matter of days. The solution comes to his instructors; send him through a wormhole where his four years will pass as mere days for the universe.

- A touching story about a young woman who becomes involved in what seems like harmless fun on the Internet, until she is beguiled into setting off a bomb in a Jewish temple. Only then does she realize that selling your soul on the Internet is not just a game.

- The future is a nasty place to live. The favourite television show features a super-hero cop who hunts down the evil bad guys each week. What the viewers do not realize is that the "bad guys" are desperate people hoping to escape and win a large sum of money to ease their troubles. Reality television taken to a new height.

- A young boy has a gift for making predictions which eventually come to pass. Including the prediction of his own death. What confuses people is that he predicts that he will become a ghost in a machine. Years after his death, his father has become President of the U.S.A. Research teams have been developing a life-like android, but they need a personality model. The young boy is resurrected, the ghost in the machine.
- "Xmas Gift"

- Expeditor Mike Mulberry (Issue #10 "Memory Bank") is at it again, at the World Teleportation System. This time, a terrorist is playing with the routing routines and teleporters are ending up in the wrong cities. Striking into the system during the Christmas rush hour traffic delivers a blow to the credibility of the WTS. Mike manages to catch the bad guys, but then realizes that he has no time to get to the store and buy his girlfriend a present. Then again, the stores on the west coast are open for another three hours and he does work in a teleportation station. . .
