WHAT WAS SPACEWAYS?
SpaceWays was a quarterly magazine of science fiction and fantasy short stories and poetry.
SpaceWays came about as the result of Rigel Chiokis wishing to be involved in the science fiction industry. He decided that he could best achieve that goal by becoming an editor and starting his own magazine. The first issue came out in April 1996.

SpaceWays did not precisely cease publishing; instead, it transformed into a new publication called SpaceWays Weekly. It ceased to be paper to due the rising costs of printing and the lack of cooperation from distributors. It is difficult to sell a magazine when distributors will not put it into stores. By switching to an electronic format, SpaceWays eliminated the printing costs and performed an end-run on the distributors.
